Every platform has its own visual grammar. TikTok rewards immediacy, Instagram rewards aesthetic coherence, YouTube rewards depth, and LinkedIn rewards professionalism. Treating them all the same is how content gets lost.
Social-first means designing for the platform's rhythm. Vertical framing, native pacing, on-screen text that works without sound, and hooks that earn attention within the first second.
The edit should also respect how the platform distributes content. A video designed for saves is different from one designed for shares, and different again from one designed for comments.
Social-first is not a smaller version of a longer idea. It is a different expression of the same idea—delivered in the format the audience actually uses.
